BEES
In 2013, I was roller skating on an outdoor sport court when a swarm of bees matched pace with me. They enveloped me from above my head to my waist. Looking to my left, I could see their detailed bodies and blurs of wings. They hummed and the air vibrated as we flew together. Then, I turned and they continued on.
Bees have always held a special place in my heart. They deserve our protection and respect. I hope we can all see their beauty!

CELEBRATION
Art is a graceful marker of big events. This piece represents the coming-together of a partnership and their journey as they brought a new life into this world. Their separate pasts and and promises for the future are illustrated in this combining of flora and fauna from the regions where each parent grew up.
